Summer here we come!!

95 degrees here in Vegas!
Bring on the heat.

Taylor stood here and played for about a 1/2 hr.
until Mason started pouring water on her head.
Then she just crawled under the table for a while
and then came back out to play.

Step #1 Fill the water table up with water from the hose.
Step #2 Fill the buckets up with water from the water table using little plastic fruit molds.
Step #3 Carry the bucket across the lawn to the peach tree, while spilling 2/3rds of the water.
Step #4 Water the peach tree with the remaining 1/3rd of the water.
With Taylor watching they Repeated this multiple times.
The things that keep them entertained.

Hiking at Red Cliffs

This was our weekend getaway to St. George. Our friends, the Derricks, came along to take pictures. We did a hike and picnic out at Redcliffs. My brother's family also came, so we had quite the group. 11 kids and 6 adults. 1 9-yearold, 1 8-yearold, 3 4-yearolds, 3 2-yearolds, and 3-newbies. The kids had a blast. We also did some biking, barbequeing, and card playing. Of course Brandon and I won.

From a distance this tree was mistaken
for a horse by Drew (Mason's BFF).

Little Tot enjoying her Snugli as a snack.
The hike was a little long for her.

Taylor and her BFF Ruby.

Proof that we let our kids deface
government property.

Avery was long gone at this point in the hike.

First Strawberry

We planted a small garden this spring and the kids are having a great time taking care of it. A couple of days ago two huge red strawberries magically appeared in our little strawberry patch right after Grandpa got home from the store. The kids were a little surprised but decided that they were in fact real and ready to pick. I helped pick them so I could make sure we didn't hurt the plant, and the kids were excited to show everyone what they had grown. Today we picked the first strawberry that actually grew in our strawberry patch. Avery has been trying to pick it for days now and she couldn't wait any longer. I think this is just the beginning of a long harvest. We will be checking on veggies every day after they start to appear.

It took Mason a few tries before he could point at the
strawberry while looking at the camera. What a cutie.

Team work in picking the first fruit!
I am surprised it ended up in one piece.

Good Times

It's about time we got out of the house and did some exercising. The ride was great. The air was still crisp. No one was on the trail but us and two other guys. I think I am hooked. We will be doing this a lot more. This was actually my third ride since Christmas, but it was my first ride here in Vegas. The trail is only 20 min. from the house. I am excited to have a trail so close to home.

Sweet rack 'eh!

Brandon only fell over one time because he couldn't unclip.
Big improvement over the three times he fell last time we went out.

This is my sweet ride!

After our ride we took the "lil"
kids out for their own ride.
There is a new biking path by
our house and it is pretty nice.
Going down the path was fun, but
my back still hurts from pushing
Mason & Taylor back up it.

Valentines Day
Yes, Mason is still in his pj's.
He never wants to take them off,
so we are often changing from one pair
to the next at bed time.

On the other hand, Avery wore this shirt every day for a week.
It is now conveniently dirty most of the time.
